I wasn't sure how this was going to work. I am having hip pain. I put this belt on and soon afterward, the pain eased up. It wasn't totally gone but I didn't have to take a pain reliever to get rid of the pain. This is something that I can definitely wear while I'm working when that pain kicks in and its comfortable to wear.

...but I didn't buy it for HER! I am 72 years old and have been experiencing lower back pain for a while, exercising and trying to maintain good posture and proper lifting practices throughout the day. I have a lumbar support pillow from my office chair at work that I use while watching TV on the sofa in the den upstairs. It only covers the lumbar area and presses into the soft sofa cushion back which then supports my upper back as well. However it doesn't work so well on my recliner chair with a less squishy back where I spend a lot of time reading so after doing extensive research I bought this back rest from Resty Seat which supports the whole back. It works to perfection on my recliner giving me excellent back support from top to bottom. The problem is my wife tried it out, was impressed with the support and comfort and now opts for MY chair instead of the sofa when she's in the living room chilling out. The product is sturdy and well made. I (and the wife) look forward to many years of increased back comfort and would recommend this product to anyone else who has lower back pain. I find it really helps!
